A shelf is a place transportable, exportable and scalable.
It is the common denominator between the personal world
and the shared world. In a room a shelf is used to store
as well as to show an object, an image or a collection.
Putting things on a shelf is to create a portrait of ourselves
through representations.

The pupils and Arthur Debert worked with personal archives
defined as witnesses «Forthcoming» and then created together
different prints and reproductions which could represent a group
keeping the uniqueness of each participant.

This material presented on a single shelf were fictional and real
stories melted into one; an archeology of the «recent past»
as well as the «upcoming past».
